A brief history of the Armed Forces Radio & Television Service (AFRTS). This feature was originally aired in 1988 on the nationally syndicated public affairs TV show "For Veterans Only". This episode of FVO dealt with the beginnings and development of the AFRTS system and its mission to bring a touch of home to military personnel and their dependents overseas. This feature was produced by a a former AFRTS staffer and Defense Information School (DINFOS) graduate. Part 2 of 2.

    I just saw your comment. Thanks. Good to hear from someone else who spent a couple of years on "The Rock". I'm sure things were quite a bit different '91-'93 than when I was there in the '70's. Of course, I'm sure much is still the same! I put this video on YouTube about 18 months ago just to show a couple of people - including my two sons - what I did in the military. I'm somewhat surprised it's received so many hits.

    Anyway, thanks again for the comment.
