R I P Minister Saleh Meki U WILL BE MISSED

Eritrea's hero Fighter Saleh Meki, Minister of Fisheries, was martyred yesterday at the age of 62 due to heart
stroke.
Asmara, 3 October 2009 - Fighter Saleh Meki, Minister of Fisheries, was martyred yesterday at
the age of 62 due to heart stroke.
Minister Saleh was suffering from heart illness and he passed away yesterday in Massawa city.
Mr. Saleh, Member of the Peoples Front Central Council, served the nation and the people in
various capacities with devotion since the 1980s. Also in the post-independence period, he
served as the Minister of Health and the Minister of Fisheries, as well as member of the Eritrean
Ministerial Cabinet until his martyrdom. The late Saleh Meki was a modest, sociable and
dedicated fighter.
He is survived by his wife and 4 children.
The Government of Eritrea expresses deep sorrow on the martyrdom of Minister Saleh Meki,
and that information regarding his funeral service would be given in due course. .
