Having retained his World Heavyweight Championship at Hell in a Cell against Drew McIntyre, Edge is headed for a title defense at Over the Limit against a very green challenger.
The Superstar Initiative is a system to introduce new superstars; a 6 man battle royal with the winner getting a contract and a shot at the top champion of the brand they were sent to at a CPV of their choosing. The past winners include Season 2's TRS (who was sent to ECW), and Season 3's Connor Wine (who was sent to Raw). And as we all know, this season's winner, Christopher Cauckel, was sent to Smackdown. And his title shot is happening at Over the Limit.
While Cauckel had a great start, he has been on a losing streak as of late ever since facing off with Chris Johansen, who has finally come off of a nearly two year long slump in New-WWE. That said; is Cauckel really ready for his World Heavyweight Championship bout against the Rated-R Superstar at Over the Limit? Tonight Edge will be in action, teaming with Randy Orton to face the team of R-Truth and Danny Jackpot.
Also, at Hell in a Cell, Brent Harvanator defeated Caylen Rogers in a brutal Hell in a Cell match. He didn't get to celebrate his win, though, as he was ambushed by Alberto Del Rio immediately after the match. Harvanator will be in action tonight against Drew McIntyre; but will he have anything to say to Del Rio? Despite losing at Hell in a Cell, Rogers will be in action as well, teaming up with Kage to face the Raw's number one contenders to the WWE Tag Team titles, the Cradle Shock.
