  • @MyDogsRFun What happens if the bike stops short or the dog runs faster then the bike is moving? Doesn't he have a chance of running into the back tire?

  • Did he died at the end?

  • Looks like he is pacing himself to stay with the bike. Did it take long to train him to do that?

  • @VideoScenario: I'm not dragging him. Do you have your speakers on while you watch the video? I explain that the bungee is SLACK, not pulled tight. The dog paces the bike. He's not being dragged. We've been doing this for years and Bugsy certainly acts as if he likes it. Thanks for your comment!

  • @biketowleash I much prefer the K9 Cruiser. The low attachment keeps the dog from pulling the bike over, and it also keeps the dog away from getting hit with or tangled in the pedal. Since the dog is slightly behind, the rider is still in view and in the dog's focus. And there is NO chance of the dog being impaled - that is a ridiculous thing to say!

  • Doesn't look like the dog is in view of the rider. If the dog stops to squat, he will be dragged. When the rider stops suddenly that bar may impale your dog, ouch!

With this K9 Cruiser, your dog is not much of a companion ride more like a trailer.

I much prefer the 1-Running-Dog Bike Tow Leash for safety and companion riding!

  • I love the K9 Cruiser!! I just wish I had've gotten my 3 yr old american pit bull terrier onto it way earlier. I had the same fears as some people do about riding with their dogs. I also wanted to be able to check on my girls progress so I purchased a mirror for my handlebar so I can see her at all times. It is an invaluable tool for dog owners with active dogs and is a great bonding activity. I have taught my girl various cues 'left', 'right', 'stop', 'run', etc, etc and we have a ball!

  • You might want to consider looking into the WalkyDog bike leash. I have some videos showing the product in use with both large and small dogs.

  • I'd prefer having an attachment further up - so the rider can keep a good visual on the dog to watch for signs of exhaustion or any problems, when the dog is behind the bike it makes it difficult & somewhat dangerous since the rider has to physically turn their head to look baack at the dog.

  • not bad im still to paranoid to try it
