  • Thompson is great as is Williford, but Goodis is at the top of the heap.

  • The great poet of American Noir. "The Blonde on the Street Corner" is swell, swell, swell. Many others......

  • Thank you for doing this. David Goodis is one of my very favored writers and so little is known of him. I knew nothing at all except that he was born in Philadelphia and died there in the house he was raised up in up. A time or two someone would press Samuel Fuller to speak of his friend but nothing would come of it. The fact that Fuller kept his mouth closed simply added to the mystery of David Goodis. Thanks for making this and hope it will be finished soon.

    So Many Thanks

  • I love Goodis' work, his prose is all over the place but hell, when life gets that dark, grammar gets lost.

    Goodis and Woolrich, essential Americans.

  • Excellent start. Thoughtful and great images.

  • Can't wait to see this completed!
