psx4pandora - Sony Playstation 1 on the Pandora (MK2) handheld. Work In Progress.

I have been working on getting compatibility higher on psx4pandora. As you most likely already know, Pandora is an awesome handheld coming soon, official site being www.openpandora.org.

During the process of updating psx4pandora I received my Pandora MK2. The MK2 is pretty much the guts of the Pandora (no case for instance).

So I quickly put my work aside and took this video of the first game put on my Transcend 16GB Class 6 SDHC card, so yet another Final Fantasy 7 showing. Having two SD(HC) card slots is great!

Everything on the MK2 has been solid so far, and Notaz and DJWillis have been doing amazing work!

Next steps for psx4pandora is to fix a long standing bug causing crashing in games such as Tomba and Metal Gear Solid. I will eventually do some videos of new games not seen running on psx4pandora (or psx4all for that matter).

Work is definitely ramping up on psx4pandora! More to come...

Heh, yeah there's sound but it's through my headphones at the moment. I use to rip the sound out of a lot of my games for size reasons. Needless to say, I'm re-ripping a lot of games today to get some better tests/videos out...with better sound too. :)

Btw, there is a stylus that has a special tip to not harm a capacative touch screen which sends out little electricity to simulate a fingertip. That's a way to use a precise input on those devices. I think i saw this on thinkgeek.

Actually I believe the PSP has the same architecture as the PS1 when it comes to the CPU, not to mention the PS1 emulator on the PSP is official, so it's about as perfect as you'll ever get on any portable currently out (Laptops not included)
