'Waltz with Bashir' the critically-acclaimed animation which delves in punishing detail about the horrors of the Lebanon War in 1982, has wooed audiences worldwide.

  • What about liberty and freedom for the Palestinians?

    "Arabs attacking from all sides"?

Palestinians have been squeezed into a pathetically small concentration camp in Gaza. What else can they do but try to gain freedom?

If you were in that situation would you do anything else?

Give the Palestinians food, medicine, return their land, treat them as humans, then you'll see their desperate and pathetic attempts to fight back cease.

  • Compassionate?!?

Dude in the movie IDF soldiers slaughter innocents, and let many more die in front of their eyes.

It certainly shows the IDF soldiers are human, and are good people, but it definitely doesn't show the IDF itself as compassionate. The movie is very anti-war.

  • how tha f**k did I get to aljezira?... wtf

  • what hapond in sabra and shatila was wrong... so is being a shiha

  • Also, “supported in Israel”? Check your frickin’ facts. This thing was ripped apart in their media. They think it’s “Anti-Israeli” because it doesn’t show previous attacks on Israel that were also used as a pretense for this war.

  • What the fuck is wrong with Israeli politicians? Are they fucking retarded? They justify wars that killed tens of thousands of people with rocket attacks on them which (combined) didn’t even kill one thousand people in total? And they are covering up genocide? THEY of all the people on earth? They must have went insane.

  • When will a Palestinian movie released which shows the horror of war and questions the own point of view and perception of right and wrong in that conflict? I guess we still have to wait some time...

  • @davidds0 Uh, there's at least one scene in the movie where the Israelis murder innocent Lebanese. And in regards to the Sabra massacres, yes I'm well aware it was the Lebanese Falangist fanatics that carried out the actual killings, but they were protecting around the perimeter by the IDF, who were fully aware, and probably had early knowledge of the plan, and did nothing.

  • @IneptTroopr its not the idf who slaughter the innocents its the lebanon cristian, but the israeli goverment is not stopping them thats whats happaning.

  • Not to disagree that Hamas is a terrorist organization, but with that logic you could easily argue the US, Israel, and a plethora of other country do the same thing year after year (electing politicians that promote violence against others) and therefore also deserve to be bombed and have tens of thousands of their civilians murdered.

  • Gee, i am surprised that people dont know where to find this film. i saw it so long ago on Netflix, in NY. this is not such an alternative film at all - vs many other films that i watched. What do people watch then? pure holllywood craps? When i was in Israel, pretty much every Israeli i met saw this film, almost every Israeli loved and was moved by it - many tough-looking guys were brought down into tears by this film...
