One more video made this weekend after tuning and running and running and tuning a few times around the block. Still not perfect but getting REALLY close. Whipped up and down the street yesterday hard enough to set off a couple car alarms. dig it! Picture me rollin' this Saturday the 6th or June at Blue Cat Motors Mods v.s. Rockers bash. I'm bringin out the XS to scare some old ladies and break a few hearts. everyone meets up at Grumpy's NE or downtown and heads for home from there around 2 something. St Paul, Minneapolis, Minnesota, Titties and Beer

  • Nice build! I plan on running Uni foam filters and open pipes, similar to yours. What year is your bike? What are your carb settings? Thanks in advance!

  • @rafanomenon

Thanks - 73 motor - 81 carbs - carbs are set bone stock. 3 tips for getting the bike to run just right.

    1. Older bikes need the idle rpm increased from 1k RPM to around 1.5 RPM

    2. Gotta ride the bike for 10-15 minutes before it is actually warmed up enough to start adjusting the idle speed.

    3. If you're running short pipes, keep a close eye on the exact length. Too long-rough idle and too short/rough idle. Optimum length is supposedly 32-36 inches. Google "exhaust power wave"

  • Killer bike bro! What size tires and rims are you using? also, what kind of tires are you using? thanks

  • @nohtn 19" front - 18" rear - firestone's -

  • nice xs man! I just picked up a project xs650 from blue cat the other day. I'm gonna have to get mine going here soon! Is that a weld on hard tail or a custom job?

  • Which one did you get? I was actually there too (although somewhat late) and pretty much missed out on everything. Good luck.

  • you did a really nice job. :)

  • since we're on the subject of tires, are the Firestones a bias-ply or radial tire?

Ive thought about using them but im concerned about performance as well.
