Lost Planet 2 - Chapter 3-3 - Hard Difficulty - 2/2

This is the part is where most people fail. Which is completely understandable how the game tells you very little of all the options you have available, or how to actually utilize the large train cannon.

Here's the basics for using the large train cannon:
-You'll find cannon shells all over the place. To load them into the cannon, go here: 1:19 - If you're playing with AI teammates, they'll be spending most of the time loading new shells into the cannon.

-You can energize cannon shells to make them more powerful at 1:29 . Although this step isn't really necessary, cannon shells are still very powerful without being energized.

-To rotate the cannon 90 degrees quickly go to: 1:44 . There's another one at the other side of the cannon to rotate it in the other direction. This step also isn't necessary, but it's MUCH faster to rotate it this way than when you're controlling the cannon.

-To actually access the cannon control, go to 1:58 . Using it is straightforward. Remember you'll need to manually reload cannon shells by pressing the fire button once (this will move them from the energizing chamber into the cannon).

Some other areas to note...
2:31 - This wagon contains a TON of cannon shells and weapons. It also contains one data post which you definitely should activate as it'll give you one more life to go on. There's also another type of cannon shell inside this wagon, although I don't know the difference between these and the normals ones.

2 other interesting things I didn't show in the video but is close to the wagon is one large cannon you can use (same type of cannon which attacked you during 2 first parts of the chapter), and one flying VS. I haven't used the cannon myself but I imagine it would be a good second choice for attacking the boss. The flying VS is bad for attacking the boss, but excellent for killing smaller akrid and the projectiles the boss fires. It's also good for recon and telling your teammates where the boss is at any time.

There's several smaller turrets on the train, these are good options for attacking the boss (my partner in the video was using one almost the entire time).

3:07 - In here you can use coolants to repair the train.

The biggest threat in the chapter is getting knocked off the train. The boss will occasionally do attacks which will knock people around. Either stun the boss (only possible with very powerful weapons or cannons), or make sure you're in an area where you won't be knocked off the train (like controlling a turret or moving through the corridors in the train). Since you can repair the train at any time, it's much more important to make sure you don't lose any lives than making sure the train isn't damaged.

what the hell. ive beaten gears of war 2 at least 4 times and i still cant use marcus on lost planet. any help? :(

@Incrediboyhero01 you have to finish the game first and then go to my page and click on on the i think its on costumazation or something but its the first one and then go to change character wich is on the bottom

@Machammerballs I take it back best this boss and can't stop playing, I'm alost to the end and will replay at normal difficulty - Why didn't this game get more love, I still love the first one better but I'm an older guy and these games take me back to playing all these rad arcade games in pizza parlors, arcades, 7-11s etc - Would love a lost planet 3 - sadly that aint happenning

Fuck this game. Lost Planet 1 was epic, this game is a fucking joke, it makes no sense. I was playing on easy, just to enjoy the graphics then I get to the train stage, and just said fuck it. It's just not fun, it's fucking gay. WHY? WHY? WHY? DID THE SHITHEAD DEVELOPERS FUCK WITH A WINNING FORMULA!?

does anyone have a video that shows the different cannon shells idk how i did it but some how i did a bigger blast it looked like a nuke and idk if it was energize and idk the name of the shell i think one of the AI loaded it i think it was a dragon something, and i know what some of the shells do but idk if their is more kinds the Devil Roar does a shotgun type shot, the cobalt does a normal blast, and the armor per. shells don't seam to do a blast but it still hurt the cat. G though its skin

@ToyopolloLocoo monster hunter is a great game I like LP2 but comon monster hunter has so much more to offer both content and gameplay are much better

the only bad is the co op screen
