In response to tsukayomi2021. It's a good thing to help people in need whether they are your neighbors or clear across the ocean. Why not do both? As long as you are helping. Right?

Listen to atomicbazaar. We may be in a recession, but honestly, how hard is it to promote causes such as this one? Even if we may not be able to help out those in Darfur directly, there are hundreds of causes you can join or donate to that will take the initiative to make sure those suffering from the genocide can get the help they need.

True Americans believe in giving back to its people and giving a hand up to those in need around the world. Americans are the few countries that has taken a pro-active roll in seeking out these troubled areas in the world today and bring peace, hope and tolerance to them.
