Shutter speed comparison for the Rebel T2i. Speeds measured are at the far extremes of what the camera is capable of: 1/50th sec. vs. 1/2000th sec.
You'll notice some pros and cons to both pieces of footage (apart from the difference in light getting to the sensor):
-the quicker shutter speed allows for easier frame grabs (with no blur), but the footage strobes pretty badly.
-there is smoother motion on the footage shot with the slower shutter speed, but it clearly becomes less feasible to pull frames from it (due to blur).
Let me know what you guys think!
just 1/50?? wow, i hoped it could a little slower speeds and more motion blur... thanks for the video, answered my question...

@Devdog1618 The color/look is just an effect because the faster shutter allows less light to get in. You should rather use an filter if you want the darken effect, or do it in post. What he is demonstrating is the motionblur effect, look at his feet.
Longer shutter (more blur) looks better, but shorter shutter(less blur, more.. lag) makes it easier to work with in postprod. Look at Hollywood movies and you will see motionblur.

@Devdog1618 You need a flat image to color correct.

i actually like the look of 1/2000th. It looks very dramatic and filmic
