The North Country has long been an inspiration to some of the worlds greatest singers and songwriters. In Girls From The North Country, roots folk-pop duo Dala, with special guests The Good Lovelies and Oh Susanna, evokes the musical beauty of this lush and rugged terrain, with their infectious harmonies and fresh sound. Weaving their own songs around classics by Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan, Girls from the North Country pays homage to the melody, lyricism and spirit of the great folk artists of our time. This 60 minute HD television special was shot live in Toronto at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, February 2010. A concert tour kicks off in the fall of 2010, with tickets available for stations in the tour markets. Girls from the North Country is a production of Lenz Entertainment and International Media.
