@OnlyForComments1001 Just as Krishna spoke these words as they are to Arjuna, in Chapter 4, verse 1 Krishna described to Arjuna how he spoke the same to Vivasvan the Sun god aeons before, and that he returns to restore this knowlege, so when you read or hear Bhagavad Gita, Krishna is controlling this, He is now speaking to you as you are his very dear friend. The battlefeild is where Arjuna heard this during anxiety in his duty. So it applies to you in your environment.

@OnlyForComments1001 It represents whatever your situation is. Krishna spoke the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna and whoever is hearing him or reading these words, just as he spoke it to . Krishna is talking to you in your battlefield. just as he spoke these words to Vivasvan, Manu and Ikshavaka (chapter 4:1) long before he spoke it to Arjuna, as it is.

You do not need to be Hindu to apreciate this as one of the Worlds great literary works. It is a very enigmatic, interpretive work of poetic imagination greatly Mythologicaly enhanced; although many of the people and places do have a factual historical basis.
Although, it is quite an envestment in time and effort to get used to all the names and characters etc. it is an extraordinary Book which does not need psuedo history and science to enhance it. Just study it and maybe Sanskrit.
