Sigma 70-300mm Focus Speed on AF-CONTINUOUS

This is a test to show how fast the lens focuses from close ground to far ground. How to tell whether it is responsive? Well, I basically moved the lens up and down so that it is focusing on near ground to far ground. As you see, the focus moved really fast in accordance to the change in distance, so that means that this lens is actually pretty good.

Im looking on buying this lens for my nikon d60 but it takes 28 seconds to AutoFocus. This might be a stupid question but can you manually focus it too?

@HardflipXx do you know what my video is for? it's to show at certain distances how fast the autofocus responds. it didn't take that long to autofocus ok....

yeah manual focus works too of course haha.

@legeek08 Just because the front element rotates dosent mean its a bad lens. you can just go fuck yourself for posting such an ignorant comment. Just because this lens isnt as good as what you own (or probably what you dont own) you dont have to go around putting people down like that. maybe this person dosent have the money to spend on a lens that dosen't have a rotating front element, you don't know. All Im sayin is dont be an asshole when you clearly dont know what your talking about.

@Legacylout Not a bad lens at all I've been doing photography for many years and mainly use manual focus and is much better than the usual kit lens so people don't be put off by this review as it's a good little lens !

IF you have a body made by any of the big brands like Canon or Nikon I don't see why you would even buy this. They have comparable zooms and pretty much the same price...well give or take a couple of hundred.

@afghanistanculture09 You mean 75-300. The 75-300 III USM is (maybe) slightly heavier but has USM (fast, quiet autofocus). Both are very affordable. Sometimes USM AF can be the difference of making and not making the shot (i.e. if your subject is sleeping).
