the keeley sounds fucking awsome. Im getting mine transformed as we speak.

@marcometalico Also look at the indyguitarist classic and vintage mods designed by FX guru Brian Wampler - watch YouTube video QmARgeZPTN4 Those two will be right up your street. As much as I respect Keeley, I think his DS-1 mods sound rough and harsh.

Very much like Vai :)

Great demo! Almost sounds like Vai... minus the humbuckers...

Really useful demo, thanks. 5/5

I've had both, the Analogman is definitely warmer and bluesier, as you can hear in this demo, and the external mid knob is really handy too. The Keeley is a little nastier and good as a scorching lead boost. Different strokes for different folks.

You tone always sounds awesome! What delay do you have running on this video?

@wtaegoodman Thank you! I believe I was using Boss DD-3 Japan.

Im not a metal guy, or heavy rock shredder..I have a ts-9 that I use with a compressor and for leads..I was thinking of ones of these for a gritty yet warmish edgy sound..maybe more for rhythm..Im leaning towards the Keeley, seems edgier..what do you think?

I still don't think that these two pedals are high gain distortion pedals. They're distortion with a lot of clean and transparent sounds. Analogman is just a little warmer vintage sound, on the other hand, Keeley is more modern with a bit more bites and edgier sound.

I play blues and rock, which do you recommend me?

For the blues sound, I would recommend the Analogman. It's a litte warmer with natural sound character because I think Mike tends to base his pedal on tube screamer character.
