You can change the fonts and colours of your website by editing the styles your template uses in the Page Properties dialogue box, but these are encoded in the page. If you want to make a change to one of the styles, each page must be updated and uploaded to your website.
Putting these styles in a separate style sheet allows you to simply modify the style sheet, and the change will affect all your pages that depend on it.
This tutorial shows you how to add a style sheet to your template.
All done with Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 on a Mac.
