Edible Radish Seed Pods - Raised Bed Container Garden - Organic Gardening

Instead of pulling the Icicle Radish plants that are going to seed I'm going to harvest the seed pods for an extra harvest of tasty vegetables.

They are similar in taste and texture to green beans but with a slight radish flavor.

Mid spring here in North Carolina the temperatures jumped up into the mid 90's with a few days of 100's. The radishes and other veggies are starting to bolt. Its a HOT growing season this year.

to save their seeds did you take them out of the pods after they were dry?

@Armando7654 hi, yes i let some fully mature on the plants until the pods were dry brown n crispy. then i split em open and inside were radish seeds just like in the store bought seed packs. i might set aside an area each year just to let plants go to seed. it'll save some $ and its good to be self sufficient.

Thanks for the vid. my gal and I grow lots of radishes, icicle, watermellon, breakfast, and a purple variety. Good to keep away from stores and the messed up people in society. Plus we got guns for thems that intrude. thanks again.

that's amazing. beans on a radish. my radishes are growing too big so i'll try letting them seed as well.
