My guess is everyone figured that Okino had a better chance of medaling so Kim dropped out, saving herself for events she knew she had a chance at in terms of medaling.

Poor Kerri looks like she's constipated when she runs here. I believe she ran better as she got older :P

Thanks for the info! I wonder why Kim decided not to compete in UB if she qualified in fourth. Certainly not her forte` but seems like she would have had a shot at a medal at least. I guess maybe her wrist was bothering her again.

As I state on the side of the video, Kerri advanced to the event finals and finished 6th.

Do you know what events Dominique Dawes competed in? Didn't Zmeskal try for bars, or was she cut during the prelims? Any info would be great!

Dominique Dawes entered into VT and FX Prelims. She placed 15th in VT and advanced to the Semi-Finals where she finished in 16th place (with her higher vault score as 9.762). She must have fallen in FX Prelims, because her score was a 9.400 and she finished in 31st place.
Yes, Kim Zmeskal competed in UB Prelims, and qualified 4th into the Semi-Finals, but opted out of Semi-Finals and was replaced with Betty Okino, who was the third American qualifier.
