I think a lot of people don't understand that Eliza Jane is just so lonely, and up until Almonzo married Laura, he was her life. She needs to get her OWN life, true. She quickly saw the positive in the situation (they would come and live by her and she'd have an instant family) rather than what was best for Laura and Almonzo. My two cents :)

Finally Almanzo realizes that recovery doesn't happen over night. I had reconstructive hip surgery when I was 26 and it took me 4 years to go from a walker to a cane to walking all on my own. It takes time and perseverance.

I thought that too as I was watching this epi. I really think Eliza felt lonely being so far away from her brother. I really believe she wanted to live with him again too.

I think Eliza Jane should butt out. She very insufferable. And I think that she is a good teacher and a good percon, but I just don't think that I could bare to be in the same room with her for more than five minutes.

Agreed! I believe she means well, but she definetly needed to mind her own business regarding Laura & Almanzo's affairs in this epi...

I was happy to when I viewed this epi... What I disliked the most was Almanzo pitying himself and totally give up on himself... This scene gave me hope... : )
