This solar gnerator charges two 100 amp hr batteries at 45 watts. When charged the system has a 200 amp hr capacity. The 2500 watt power inverter will run most household appliances. I designed the system to run a water pump during power outages.

  • How long does it take to charge the batteries? Are the 45 Watt solar panels capable of charging the batteries full in one day?

  • @sboeckman It all depends on how much you use the night before. It won't charge two fully depleted deep cycles in one day. It was designed for running a water pump in an emergency.....a few short 45 second bursts a day. For that it works perfect. It will also run a couple low consumption fans all night and replenish during the day. It's all a matter of keeping track of watt/hours out and watt hours in.

  • Pretty cool, nice neat setup. You could add add another one of those panels and several more batteries and have a ton of power. Check out my video, I was using 4 of those same panels to charge 8 golf cart batteries.

  • Thanks. Good vid

  • Do you think you could have done ok with less??

  • Well it was designed to run a residential well pump a few times a day during power outages. For that, I could have used one less panel and one less battery, but the inverter needed to be the size that it is. BTW, I looked at your videos. Good Job. Keep it up and you will make a difference.

  • Can the used up car battery be feasible to be solar charged?

  • This solar generator has been designed with great expertise. Looks like people are making a good effort to convert from thermal-powered electricity to alternative sources of power.

  • This looks like a powerful device. This could be used for a variety of purposes.

  • I would have killed in 2003 (the blackout) to have this setup....spent all day in the car with the air going (until the gas light came on). The only thing I had was a maglite solitare with a half dead battery and a radio with a dead battery, lol. I have a small solar system, but I kinda like these 45 watt kits I've been seeing lately.
