Say what you will about WTOC (they suck), but all the other "news" outlets in Savannah want to be just like WTOC.

The "Energy" news theme used on CBS affliate WTOC in Savannah, GA and NBC affliates KING Seattle and KHON Honolulu in the 1980s and in the Philippines, it was used on "Saksi" on GMA Network from 1995 to 1999

Well, Bill Cathcart won't be General Manager there forever. Maybe one day, in the future, WTOC will have a decent budget, imaging, and news stories and will finally stop resembling a middle school morning news announcement.
