This is an introduction/tutorial video of my new Warcraft III map called Hero Adventures!! Chasers (name may change in the future). This is a 3 part tutorial and this is the third part of the three.

NOTE: Please turn on Annotations for the explanations

In this third and final video, we are going to (finally!) see the combat demonstration from each of the three heroes.

The first hero to fight is the Dwarven Battlemonger. The Dwarven Battlemonger is a Strength hero and his primary role in the team is as a tank. He can take most punishment before falling and his abilities are designed to support this role. He has the Parry ability for instance, which allows him to block melee damage by a certain amount; he can also enter a Defensive Stance which reduces incoming damage by a certain percentage; and Fortitude Aura which allows him to regenerate hitpoints to allied units around him. His techniques focus more on melee combat and one on one fights, although he still has ranged attacks and AOE attacks as well. Perhaps it is not clear on how much tanking capabilities that he has from his fight alone, but once we see the second and third hero, we can easily compare the tanking capabilities between the three heroes and it will be clearly seen that the Battlemonger is far superior in enduring damages.

The second hero to fight is the Night Elf Shadowwalker. Maybe the most accurate description of this hero's fighting style will be "Ninja-like". The Shadowwalker is an Agility hero and his combat techniques advance much better in speed rather than in damage. Unlike the Battlemonger, the Shadowwalker does not have the capability to tank damage, but to make up for this, he has abilities allow him to evade incoming attacks entirely. He has the Evasion ability that allows him to passively avoid attacks; Shadowdash which improves his dashing capabilities by decreasing the manacost required for dashing and cooldown time; and of course, the Shadowblend which renders him invisible for the duration of the skill and allows him to score a backstab damage once he breaks his invisibility by attacking. His techniques are also designed to support this combat style and focuses more on assassination and disables. Overall, among the three heroes, the Night Elf Shadowwalker is the one who has the potential to do the most damage per second to a single unit.

Finally, the last hero to fight is the Human Spellweaver. Like all traditional magicians, the Spellweaver almost has no capability to endure attacks or evade them. But to make up for this, she has the most destructive techniques among the three heroes. Her abilities are almost all offensive in nature and are mostly related to mana, in order to support her devastating but mana draining skills. One of her abilities, Meditation, allows her to gain a great increase in her mana regeneration as long as she is not in combat - i.e. when she is not attacking or getting damage. Another ability, Mana Overflow, allows her to gain an increase in her mana pool temporarily, allowing her to unleash her maximum potential for a short time. Another notable ability, which is very crucial for survival, is Teleport. When she takes this ability, her normal dash movement will change to a teleporting skill instead. When she dashes, she will be hidden from sight and unable to be attacked by enemies. Teleportation also allows her to go through enemy units as well which gives her a great help in evading contact with enemies. Her techniques are mostly for AOE combat and are all Magical, except for one Technique. This makes her very effective in dealing with a large group of lesser monsters, although one on one fights will be quite a trouble for her since she consumes mana very quickly. However, if you like to see destruction and devastation, the Spellweaver will be the perfect choice for you.

Coding, Scripting, Systems & Mechanics design are all done by me. There are no resources released yet as work is still in progress.
