The Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science
( http://richarddawkins.net ) presents: "The Poetry of Science: Discussions of the Beauty of Science."

Two of science's luminaries converse on the beauty of science. Neil deGrasse Tyson, astrophysicist and host of NOVA and evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins will explore the wonders of the Cosmos and of Life, its origins, its inspirations, and why science is not just an option, it is the only reality we possess.

  • How about the calculus in Egypt????

  • Am i the only one who thought that the questions were terrible?

The execution question was just strange, same with the cell phones causing cancer question. Really wish some actual good questions had been asked.

When you have an astrophysicist and a biologist, please dont ask questions that are meant for doctors or philosophers.

  • Now I know why big-time scientists don't spend too much time debating religious bigots. They probably all end up losing a few points of IQ every time they do it. Discussions between scientists are sooo amazing.

  • @101happyfuntime The cellphone question probably seemed smart to the woman who asked it but I think Tyson was right to smack it down.

  • 53:40 ... shutup...

  • I love you NdGT

  • @101happyfuntime I think people might have gotten a bit overwhelmed and kind of forgotten their questions. I do that when I get nervous. I mean the questions WERE total shite but I think I may have just pissed myself and walked off mumbling so who am I to judge.

  • Kinda weird they avoided the calculus in Egypt...

  • Skyrim is in the suggested videos....I've got a feeling Reddit's been here...

  • 1:14:08 The man in white in the front row.. Christopher Hitchens!!! Great minds always seem to be in each others' company.
