  • That was a great poem big feller. I'm a trucker to. I live in New Jersey. I want to know iffen you takes a over a month sabbatical like I do a twixt haulin them long hauls?

  • Hi guy! I was an O/O, so I had to watch my pennies. I USED to do 3 wks out and 5 days to a week off, but that was before I broke my hip in a Dallas drop-yard at 3 in the morning. THEN I learned why workmans comp costs more than self employers insurance. Comp pays forever, but the other only pays for 1 year max, and they douldn't pay for the new hip because of "prior wear and tear." Go figure??? I'm permanantly disabled and on SSI disability now that they found my diabetes.

  • A great poem.. there sure is a lot of truth in what you say.. i know.. i still do it.. thx..

  • Amen brother... we BOTH know that there's far too much truth in it. I miss the road and the good people I used to talk all night with, but I'll never miss the loading docks. Stay safe, shiny side up and all that stuff. If you ever see that you'll go thru Perry FL (US19)dopr me a note and we'll see if we can't put together some home cooking for ya. Hank

  • Very good...I'm sure truck drivers will appreciate this. T y

  • Yes they do. I used to hear guys arguing on the CB, + I'd just turn the linear on + recite it. When I was done there'd be a short silence. Then everyone agreed it was great + ask for copies. Id tell em where I'd be + I gave out a lot of free copies. I always had good company while I ate. Once in a while someone'd pay my bill while I wasn't looking + it was too late to stop em. There's a lot of nice guys driving those big rigs, + most of the world doesn't even have a clue about it.
