that is iwc thing, right? if so, that is not a local or international law.

    > Australian and French Antarctic Territorial Waters..

yeah, right. japan, norway and iceland will declare their own antarctic teritorian waters soon. :-)

    >'scientific' whaling....

i agree japan should stop 'scientific' whaling. they should quit iwc and start commercial whaling. it really does not make sense they stay iwc because us threatens japan.

  • i am really curious whether all australians are idiot or just their government. if it is the former case, all australians should go vegetarians. well they will probably still think cattle, kangaroos and aborigines are ok to kill.

  • whales are used for food and oil in the north and south pole, i think that if they kill whales for no reason at all, its very wrong but if they are used for survival, it shouldnt be concidered wrong... people need whale blubber to survive from freezing to death in the poles and whale oil is what keeps people alive... but whales shouldnt be killed just for the hell of it.. thats disgusting!

  • I recommend you to read up about the ATS first before trying to post sarcastic comments, when infact they are true.

This will save any further embarrassment.

  • Im not going to debate about the sanctuary or claims with you again-on other video. But just to make this clear Norway and Iceland does have claims but they do not whale there because of the international treaty binding them not to exploit it, they agree with the conservation of antrctica just like the other 47 counties/claims. I have to at least give credit to Norway and Iceland for this, not like japan exploiting as may treaties and regulations as possible.

  • why illegal? what kind of law prohibits japan or any whaling countries from whaling?
