my brand new 2 week old 1TB drive broke today. i dont know how to fix it, its having this clicking noise, what makes it worse is that for some reason they are saying it is out of warrenty, its a recertified one.

did you know that some external hard drives are just a 2.5 ide to usb adapter?

my Hitachi travelstar sounded just like that when it died in last November and it was less than a year old.
