  • it's impossible to write down the truth

  • @GrowJunkieXL Then your statement is meaningless :)

  • @ShaktipatSeer2 it would appear so, yet meaningless enough to reply:)

the truth cannot be written down. it's impossible.

  • @GrowJunkieXL I'm not the one that said that truth can't be written down, you did.. I was implying that your comment was a non-sequitor. The Vedas were written down because man was slipping into a state of forgetfulness and ignorance and so God descended as Srila Vyasadeva in order to break the previously unwritten down oral tradition of Gnosis into bits and pieces that could be then studied by our forgetful selves. If you study with pure devotion and meditation it transcends "words".

  • @GrowJunkieXL Your argument is fair enough that only in the Heart are we able to understand transcendental topics, and this is what the scriptures say, so therefor they are implying the same thing you are saying just in a way which is more complete. Reveled scripture (Sruti) descends from the non-dual spiritual plane itself, and guides back into that non-dual realm, the words are only pointing at what needs to be felt by the Heart and known through Yogic practices.

  • @ShaktipatSeer2 we understand each other:)

The truth comes from within. Only thoughts can be written. A thought is not the truth, it's just a thought.

Every single word that has ever been written was a thought. Many books have been written claiming that this is the way, the truth. It's just a thought, nothing else. The truth can never be written down.

  • @BasketsOfApples Who can understand the lila of such great personalities =]
