Bangkok - City of chaos

Walking on the walkway under the skytrain at the Victory Monument station, Bangkok Thailand.

What you're seeing is how insane the traffic is, how loud the city is and the concrete jungle of Bangkok, the "city of life." The last minute or so is on the main road into the northern suburbs of the city, towards the old airport. The freeway that's shown there also heads to the old airport and the northern end of Bangkok.

At 1:30, the commotion is someone giving away or selling phone SIM cards. Not sure exactly.

The victory monument was some obscure victory over the French in the early part of the 20th century. Now that I think about it, so was cinco de mayo.


Also, the video was filmed with my handheld digicam, sorry it's so shaky.

Victory Monument is a really neat area. The shopping and food is just everywhere all around there. You can also get a bus and skytrain to go anywhere from here! There are even vans going to Pattaya, Lopburi, whatever.
