I have filmed myself creating a pattern from scratch with the only Raveolution309. You will notice the lack of compression and sometimes PCM's can sound very loud.
That machine is a beauty with a lot of little bugs, you will hear the sequencer stopping/slowing down when I change part, sounds from a part can cut the ones from other parts, many sounds irregularities etc... this machine is alive!!!
I can play like that during days only with that baby, I do not produce good techno but these oldshool sounds remember me the golden age of techno... I miss Quasimidi :(

@klausito1970 What effect did this have on your 309??? I am seriously considering getting the OS3 if it will fix the "skip" bug it has.... you know? how it kind of jumps for a split second when you change parts???? Did OS3 solve that bug for you??? I would GREATLY appreciate the information...... otherwise, i would be selling this as I need a solid "LIVE PERFORMANCE" groovebox... thanks :)

I've got 4 QM-309 fully expanded and two Polymorphs to play live at partys those days but golden era of techno has gone and no i've got only two QM-309 and one polymorph to got pleasure making something in my spare time :)

Hardly... those are great machine but they are not the end all be all of drum machines. What about a Jomox 888 or even xbase 09? What about all the old Rolands!! What about an MPC loaded with some amazing drum samples?
Everything else is not crappy, as you point out.
