New Zealand Copyright Torrenting Law!!! OUTRAGEOUS!

Alright so the video says it all, however heres it in brief:

Back during the earthquake in christchurch the government here in NZ passed a law which allowed the fatcats that own sony and such to instantly fine and charge anyone caught downloading copywrited material on torrent sites. WITH or WITHOUT proof!!!

They just say the word, and the ISP will instantly send a warning. Two more warnings and you're BANNED FROM THE INTERNET.

How can ANYONE possibly think this is a fair move?! The internet is our livelyhood and the source of ALL information mankind has developed and discovered. Stupid.

He is a youtube partner.

He flaunts it to people, quite readily and regularly.

He's been caught by the minecraft community SPAMMING his channel.

He's been caught griefing.

He's stolen ideas, most of his work isn't original, and he's stolen from fellow players and the very community he's supposed to be supporting and drawing income from.

He's supposed to represent the best of YT. yet he does this, walks all over everyone. No. He doesn't deserve pity.

@Xanthius All right, I will consider those all valid claims IF you can provide proof about the griefing, spamming, and stealing claims. Whether or not he flaunts his partnership is another deal, and even if he did, what would be the big deal?

@NeoNomanitur Have a look on the video of him doing the bank-robber video. In the comments, look for the users comment made by 'dudescast' theyre the owners of the server he went to and stole those items from. He never gave them back. MCBans has him listed for spamming his channel and other links on servers hosting it. Look through there too :). And on his other videos, many replies from him in reaction to trolls is 'i get paid. so.' as an excuse for, well, everything.

@Xanthius Fair enough, but I still don't believe him to be an inherently terrible person. I imagine the pressure is always on him to 'make good videos' and deal with trolls. Plus, you must know how hard it is to get recognition as a producer of content. I believe Jeremy values every one of his subscribers and works hard to keep them happy.

Yeah I know about the proxy and vpn tunnels etc, I can happily avoid being caught if i felt the need but I don't torrent anyway, i hate the technology involved and the way it works. COmpletely unsecure really. Bleh. I'd rather secure ftp connections etc as they cant be traced and are usually encrypted :p

I agree mate, it's insane. Loved your video too, the way you kept going off subject and saying the wrong thing and then correcting yourself LOL. Here's 2 solutions to the problem: Proxy Servers, and VPN Tunnels. Safe and secure. Problem is most people don't know how to use them properly.
