  • Hi , I just wanted to build myself a Tenessee music box,but thought a triangle shape might be more handy, and the resut looks a lot like this one.

I just cant remember to see the video or any other Instrument like this before ? Maybe its because I am collecting guitars, and the boxdesign

was too strange.I added two soundholes in the middle later , so its a bit louder.

Is that the song of Loch Lomond ? I heard it long ago , good idea ,thank you a lot for this inspiration

  • @Ploppy8888 TY, I never did know what the title of that song is, even though I've heard it countless times. Why not post a video of you playing your dulcimer. All of youtube is a stage!

    Peace.

  • A playing face that says "Ron Perlman want know what stringy block is!!"

  • @TheBigMclargehuge I looked up Ron P. Hellboy! Hee hee hee!

  • I love the background noise--wind and cicadas. It compliments the music wonderfully.

  • Thanx. I am glad you liked the nature's symphony that is backing me up :)

    One love, one heart!

  • @MrJB5962 The frets arranged as a diatonic scale where the guitar is chromatic. I would suggest buying a dulcimer and try to copy it for your first one.

  • Wonderful...

  • Hello, since you're from Scotland you can tell me a thing right mate?

you know American pie band camp? or if anyone thats reading this comment does when stifler comes in at that competition and plays a Scottish music thing..please tell me what the name of it is..i really like it..

  • Hello,

I write you from France, and I love that kind of music and sound. I have already built guitars but I don't find any information about "how to build a dulcimer". Could you tell me how the frets are "separated" ? The scale seems to be very different from a guitar (small, large etc..)

Thank you very much for your music. I hope you'll answer me.

    Bye

    JB
