Amy Cohen Efron recognizes how PepsiCo/EnAble's commercial, "Bob's House" have a profound impact on Deaf and Hearing people in past week.

The true winners are PepsiCo/EnAble and National Association of the Deaf (NAD), for establishing successful collaboration relationship to produce this awesome commercial!

It is time for us to send our thanks to PepsiCo/EnAble and NAD. Also, please consider joining NAD as a member. That will make NAD stronger and allows NAD to create more exciting opportunities to make us visible!

  • guess what this deaf Pepsi commereral show never make it on superbowl at all ! what happened to it ?? it never get into TV at all so i wondering do you know what happen to that?

  • Bob's House commercial did appear during pre-game show. Approximately 4:00pm EST.

It is intended to show during the pre-game. Hopefully, next year - another deaf-related commercial for THE SUPERBOWL GAME?

We can only wish! Nothing is impossible!

  • AGB isn't what I would call respectful or proactive. There was a building on my NTID campus that was changed from AGB Hall and changed to something else. Good. AGB is an insult.

  • you may feel that way, but I am sure there are people who agree with AGB. There are different ways to solve things. Simply because you disagree with them doesn't mean that they should die.

  • It really bothers me that the AGB association and just that whole culture of Oralists view themselves as superior to Signers. That ruffles my tail feathers like no other.

  • btw... AGB contacted Pepsi Co... and asked for money rather then showing the deaf community as people who function beautifully with ASL and signing... etc..

  • We need to come together and beat the Alexander Graham Bell assosiation's ass..

I go to RIT... in ASL class. my teacher told us thar AGB assosiation was pissed from bob's house video, and basically asked for money for cochlear implants and hearing aids rather then promoting Deaf culture, and ASL...

I'm ashamed to say that the AGB assosiation is holdind a huge meeting in my hometown in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Anyway.. I felt I needed to spread this word... let's put them out of business =)

  • I very mcuh Agree Amy! My ASL teacher talked to us about that comercial. We all we thrilled to see it before the Superbowl though we all kinda wish it would show more often!! Oh well can't ask for it all now can you?

  • Very well spoken Amy! I agree whole heartedly. I think the idea for DeafVideo prizes contest is good too. I read in SIGNTimes about more deaf movie producers and directors and about them coming more in the mainstream, I truly hope that happens because the Deaf culture is so rich and wonderful, I wish more people are able to share in it, and these opportunities, including the Super Bowl commercial make that possible.

  • I never quite thought of it like that, but you are right!
