  • Yeah, Jay was in town about 15 miles from where I live- figured it'd be fun to yack with him on camera, as him and I have talked behind the scenes many times- and it never hurts to further spread tiny-house ideas by whatever means, As for the eyes- lol- I can't tell you how many people have asked if I'm part Asian, etc- esp. growin' up (nope, pretty much full out Norwegian). Thanks for checkin' out the video all...

  • Hey Carl. intro video? Me jumping? lol- not sure if that's a dig,,,,anyway, Jay's tour comes back to Boston May 19th I believe,,,,,two days/dates.....check out his site for details....should be a good.

  • MastaGeneral- lol- this was actually shot on Jay's workshop tour in May 2010....too funny. Thanks for checkin' it out! -Deek

  • 1 Person thinks we should all live in mansions.

  • So I'm 22 and I have decided I want to be a teacher, and I just realized, if I built/lived in a tiny house... I'd be able to live debt free (since I'm cutting off a whole bunch of unnecessary debt) AND have 15 weeks of vacation a year...

HOLY SH*T!!!!!!! I'm soooo doing this

  • @Viciouskiller the other two are just assholes

  • I think my attraction to this idea comes from my yearning for a home of my own--& acknowledging that any space I would ever have the money for would have to be very small.

I've spent the last few years going thru my stuff, thinning out the debris from pack-rat nesting down to simple "take the trash out" clutter...then going back & doing it all AGAIN!

Currently, I've worked out a 'Truck-to-House' conversion for a 26' U-Haul; even worked out what furniture pieces would live with me. Fun!

  • @claudius2u You do realize that Jay Shafer is the man being interviewed and not Al Gore, right? That all he did was to mention global warming in passing and that this insignificant comment triggered your barrage of hatemongering, right? I get it. You don’t like the former Vice President and that despite all evidence to the contrary you think global warming is a hoax but this is caused by your political leanings and it has no place in a discussion about little houses.

  • @MrAnthonyRizzo - there's no politics in a heavily-invested profiteer, who also happens to be a politician

  • @claudius2u …and your comment is not political at all? Your entitled to you belief so is he. Don’t let one sentence send you off on a political tirade.

  • "Greenhouse Gasses" What kinda political, scam-profiteer mumbo jumbo! Al Gore is so heavily invested in his hoax that his head is literally stuck in his .... that he stoops to fabricated "science" to support his bogus, easily-debunked deception! Oh! This is about tiny living spaces! The political yaya got me going - sorry . . .NOT

  • How safe are these homes when storms come through?

  • Most EXCELLENT! :) Party On, Deek!
