Tim Dzialak's Last Steps/Unsolved Murder in Buffalo near rail road tracks. A montage of places Tim Dzialak visited or are otherwise associated with his brutal murder.

On Nov. 8, 1998 at approximately 3:25 pm. Buffalo Police Officers Christine Sikora and Mark Stobnicki responded to a call regarding a possible dead body on Chandler Street, near the CSX railroad tracks.

The body, later identified as Timothy Dzialak, 25, was burned beyond recognition and covered with a piece of fiber board.. One witness reported hearing what she thought were car backfires. Another said it sounded like gunshots late on the evening of Nov. 7. Later, on Nov. 8 at about 12:30 a.m., both witnesses reported seeing a fire where the body was found.

Because Dzialak's body was so mutilated, it was x-rayed while still in the body bag. Two .25 caliber bullet were visible in the x-ray, one in the body bag, the other in Dzialak's lung.

The death was ruled a homicide. Cause of death--gunshot wound to the chest with blood loss.

Shortly before the murder, Tim Dzialak described a dream he had to his mother. In the dream he met with all of his deceased relatives. They all warned him to "watch out for C."

Did the C refer to the name of one of his killers? The street they lived on? They street where his body was found? Something else entirely? A psychic told the family the number "5" would be significant in solving the case.

Earlier this year year, DNA tests were done on several people but the results have not been released.

Detectives have said this isn't a "who done it." What they need to know is who exactly did what, since it's very possible that more than one person was involved in the gruesome murder. At least one person shot him, mostly likely others participated in the beating, and yet another or others in burning Dzialak's body. Who exactly did what aspect of the crime?

This video presents some of the places associated with Dzialak before and at the time of his murder.

Dzialak left a fiancee, young son, sister, mother, friends and many other relatives behind.
