it's exactly what it looks like. the drums are on the bed because i live on a second floor apartment and I've never played the drums in here for I'd most definitely disturb the downstairs folks

well this is my solution.. the bed acts as a riser and dampener for the impact/shockwaves of the drums. (for the most part).. it works! of course I'm only playing with brushes and it's shaky as hell to climb up there and stabilize but hey.. the goodness is in the recording!

  • @potsy24 thanks man, i was gonna do something like that but regardless of what i did, it's still too much sound for a second floor apartment. but ive moved them to a place where i can really let loose.. and more recordings coming soon of that!

  • Put a piece of plywood on the bed, this will give you a better surface to work on. Throw a rug over the wood to keep it from affecting the sound.

  • @MarkusGronroos hah! thanks man. it's definitely wobbly and awkward up there (still looking to remedy that) but workable!

  • drums on a bed :-D this made my day! but yeah it works great!
