the ducking ended up playing back very weirdly. I'm not so terrible with rhythm that I would duck like half a beat late, on every beat no less. The replay recording just took all my inputs and re-did them very slightly late, to this day I don't know why.
It does provide some comedic value in an otherwise ball-bustingly hard level though :P
