we saw something similar using a cargo container. For about $1000, a ready made heavy duty steel box that withstands almost anything! There are youtube videos where they made some pretty awesome homes (bug out shelters too) from these containers by stacking or fitting them together like a puzzle. Apparently, tons of these things are just sitting around at our ports from China and such, that cost too much to return empty and sadly, we don't ship much back. dont forget a camping toilet or something, flashlights and batteries, maybe some loud airhorns or whistles, fold up chairs, sleeping bags. just general stuff if you get stuck for a couple of days.
