Random video, this is to demo the tone. A real-ale pub crawl walk to Holbrook, May 2010. What do you think and can abigail wound custom 69's sound better? I'll re record in September when my cs69's arrive. I know its not note perfect, that's not the point. Hope you like it. Line 6 pox xt plus alesis delay n reverb unit. Strat as in the video with rosewood board, TWEAKS: Sperzel locking tuners, cold rolled steel trem block, strap-locks, roller string trees, stay-trem trem arm (screwed down tight) and pickups set low. MISC: GHS boomers (awesome), 9's. Tascam 8 track digital Portastudio. Behringer mixer. Fender extra heavy picks. Loads of up bend on trem but very stable. Pencil graphite on nut. Plan to drop 69's into it and replace all electrics - waxed cloth wiring, the works. Also building a Gilmour inspired black strat complete with wiring mod. :). Watch this space. I'll sell the 70's pups on ebay. Bought the Strat off the guitarist from Kid Creole and the Cocunuts!!! Ditched the cs69's for scns n dimarzio tone zone.
dude, fender could sell more of these pickups than Seymour Duncan or Dimarzio alltogether, with THIS demo! I love it!

This sounds totally awesome! It brings to mind David's playing of Shine On You Crazy Diamond when I saw him at the Royal Albert Hall in 2006. At some point I will record myself playing Shine On on my 60th Anniversary Strat when I get my DG20 pickups next week. I use a HIWATT Maxwatt G50R with a Zoom G7.1ut with my own custom-made patches for lots of Floyd/Gilmour songs. Have you tried playing David's acoustic version of Shine On from the 2002 Meltdown concert??

@DannyNewman I was at one of the RAH gigs - Nick Mason palyed drums on a couple of songs. I just scroll through amp and cab models to find what sounds nice as a base tone. I'll get more specifics for you. Its 2 tones at once. One with a soft tone and loads of compression for a very slow attack. The other tone is brighter with much less compression.
