  • @choirboyfromhell1: oh well, never mind! If only... Maybe one of us will win the Lottery some day?! It's still a great performance, and nothing can take that away from you, so be happy. xxx

  • @ZeldaGlitterKitty Thank you for your kind words...David's now singing alto..

  • This is exquisite. The soloists' voices are gorgeous and it's beautifully performed by everyone. It's a shame that, due it being an amateur video, the sound quality isn't quite the best and there's a bit background noise. But you guys should record this properly cos it's so far the best version I've found on YT. That includes a much more "professional" one w/ 2 sopranos waving around in crisp performance... but without any "soul".

  • @ZeldaGlitterKitty Well, if you want to buy me a new Sony camera, and accompanying sound recording system....I'll be happy to oblige :) This two year old Sony camera is this best I can do, (and can't do anything at the moment, as the new computer just makes things more complicated...).

  • David just sang Mendelsohn's "Hear My Prayer" at a benefit concert we gave a month ago. It has a slight glitch, and if he gives me the green light, it'll be up here soon.

  • Thank you, David and Hannah are top-flight head choristers.

  • Alto, huh?! Well, let's hope he has a bright future ahead of him - how old is he? (And do not overlook the counter-tenor option if necessary. Some folk find it mildly disturbing but there are many superb ones out there - my old personal favourite is probably Robin Blaze.) Incidentally, I went looking for this song because my own school choir recorded it in 1972 - yes, a very long time ago, but such stuff sticks in the memory, apparently!!

  • david is amazingg!

  • Awesome! I wish such quality choristers could be found near me. I think that would be the motivation I need to go to church again, it's been years.

  • Absolutely beautiful - totally unaffected and beautiful solo singing. I hope the treble is recorded as much as possible - it's special.
