Some clueless gal jumped off of the platform and broke both of her ankles. The platform is a bad idea waiting to hurt someone.

This video is taken at the Broad River Outpost using the Big Yaks. Broad River is an awesome river with a variety river sections. The Broad River Outpost runs shuttles to all 70 miles of the river. Section 1 is easy and fun and great for families and kids. Section 2 is great fun with some cheap thrills as seen in video. The BRO uses Big Yaks, the best Sit-On-Top kayaks on the market. So stable and yet maneuverable that folks are using them as Stand Up Paddle Boards. Camping trips and more!

The sand bar is known in many circles as the "RED NECK RIVIERA ". They don't care much about the river except as a place to make money. They are more interested in you coming party to sketchy karaoke and bad rock n roll bands. Give me a break ! The BRO keeps their boats and equipment in good repair and the Big Yak sit-on-top kayaks are the most stable and fun on the market.

Slow Water on highway 29 between Royston, Ga & Danielsville, Ga is awesome!! Kid friendly, pet friendly & only class 1 rapids. Awesome place to take first time kayakers!! We love it!!

i love the platform what sucks about it is that sometimes it's there sometimes it isn't
i was raised on this river-looks like guys launched from broad river outpost at wildcat bridge. if u liked this ride you would love the ride from parhamtown deepwaters to the sandbar. u park at the outpost and take u up river and u float back down to right where your car is. they have a bar and restaurant too. cool place.just google sanbar broad river.

@jackup29 - I love the Sandbar. The only thing about the Sandbar is if you have a bunch of new people who have never touched a kayak, the Sandbar dumps you right into some of the rougher water. I like how the BRO allows newbies time to figure out hte paddling. But I like th Sandbar better!

Went there on July, 13 2008. Man was it fun. It rained the whole time, but we had plenty of beer to keep us warm and no problems with sunburn!
