[Music & Lyrics by King Diamond]

Some would say there is trouble in my home
Even when I am alone
Some would say there is always someone home
Even though I might be gone

Speak to me my friend, I know you're there
Speak to me my friend... speak to me... SPEAK TO ME!

I can always feel it's there, creeping one step behind me
Cold hands in the night, I know that it's watching me
The Poltergeist living in my home
Could be a friend or foe
The Poltergeist living in my home
Could be a friend for life, or a foe until the night I die
"I don't like most of those you invite... Get them out", GET THEM OUT!

Speak to me my friend, let me hear your tounge
Speak to me my friend... speak to me... SPEAK TO ME!

My guests can never tell when it's creeping up to touch them
They will never ever know our game
Until they feel it and scream

The Poltergeist living in my home
Could be a friend or foe
The Poltergeist living in my home
Could be a friend for life, or a foe until the night I die

Speak to me my friend, we are one and the same
Now that you're living here... Welcome home...
Welcome home...
You can stay forever.

  • there are a very few amount of bands that I really enjoy and I do Not like everything they have produced. Im Just saying that King has been a great artist. I am Not saying THIS album is the best. I actually listened to Abigail today and realized what you are saying.. I had my Abigail album for a few years before I even listened to more king or mercyful fate. I just have to say I liked most of what Ive heard thus far by both bands, of course earlier stuff is gonna be GOLD. Almost Always Is

  • @xnotlistiningx I guess you think being a "true fan" means just liking anything an artist puts out. I know that a lot of people like this record, just because they like anything King Diamond does... that's not being a true fan, in your case, I'd call it being a "fan-girl." I'm a "true fan" of good King Diamond, and a critic of bad King Diamond. If you had a better ear, then for you there would be no comparison between this and the classic earlier stuff. There's a world of difference in quality.

  • I remember the day this album came out. There I was, a long haired teenager who couldn't wait to get this as soon as it was on the shelf. But man, what a let down. "Time" had me worried, but this time it was clear... King just couldn't sing the same anymore. The hooks on this record had some real potential, but that was the day I knew we'd never hear that amazing "Abigail" sound come out of his throat ever again. Shame.

  • Whole album gives me goosebumps

  • everyone seems to have 1 favorite song out of this album... personaly i love the whole album in general

  • My favorite song on this album, love Herb's part of the solo absolutely genius and simplistic, which Andy contrasts with his ridiculous speed and style.
