Tingle is a murderer, they just dont explain it. In Wind Waker, he's in jail and you find out when you go into his cell, that he stole a pictobox. Also, there are skulls in the room with the pictobox. When he gives you the Tingle Tuner and the map to his island and you go there, he forces his two brothers to work 24hours on end. His dad is the pictobox guy in majoras mask and he says that tingle is a "kindhearted boy". I think not.

I actually heard that tingle was to be a murderer, luring people to someplace and the slaughtering them, but it was too graphic and they scrapped it.
