June 17, 2010 (Dallas, TX), at approximately 1130 hours a charter plane landed at Dallas Love Field with the cremains of Sgt. Zachary J. Walters. As the plane parked and shut down his family was escorted out to the tarmac. An honor guard detail from the 2nd Battalion, 14th Marines Regiment conducted a dignified transfer ceremony from the plane to a waiting hearse.

Also, present were members of the North Texas Patriot Guard Riders (PGR). Sgt. Walters' grandmother gave the PGR instructions to "kick their butts, if anybody tries to protest," Bobbie Walters said.

Once the dignified transfer was completed the procession made its way to the Brown's Funeral Memorial Chapel in Irving. The short trip was escorted by the Dallas Police who shut down traffic to allow the procession to proceed without interruption.

Once we arrived at the funeral home the police established an honor line while blocking all traffic while allowing the honor guard the opportunity to transfer the brass urn with his cremains into the chapel for a private family viewing.

  • WHATS IN THAT BOX

  • @stuntboy1717 In the box is an urn which contains the cremated remains (ashes) of the fallen Marine.

  • Mr Castillo you did a great video, i'm mexican but i have a great respect for your country , thanks for share and my respects to Walters family,

by the way the KIA letters what they mean?

  • @juanjesuschong Thank you. KIA stands for Killed in Action or in Spanish it means muerto en acción. This is a way of classifying those who died in combat battle versus those who died as a result of a non-combat accident or illness.
