CUTWORMS in the garden.... what to do about 'em

When you awake in the morning, do you discover that your little plants have been nipped at their stems? Sheared. Cut. Fallen.

That means a cutworm has been feasting. Greedy little buggers.

If you take cornmeal and sprinkle it around your plants, you will defeat the cutworms.

It's either them, or the veggies.

And I'd rather eat the produce than the varmits.

Until harvest! Enjoy the connection you have with your plants.

Be a good steward.

Fish also love cornmeal, and like (apparently) cutworms, it kills them.

Don't sprinkle the cornmeal over the small plants because it will block the sun light on the leaves and the cut worms are more interested on cutting the whole plant right on the stem before the climb.
