My Family Church Picnic at Seacliff State Beach in Aptos, CA (August 21, 2010)

Watch in 480p (high quality). In this video, it shows us going to Seacliff State Beach in Aptos, CA for our family church picnic. So, here in this video, it first shows our drive and arrival to the beach. It was tough finding parking since we were already late. It was also morning so you know what that means, gloomy and cloudy as usual. We played in the sand, made a sand fortress and buried one of our kids, Alyssa. We also found a small shrimp! I was really cool.

Then later, it shows Uncle Gaspar BBQing some Korean beef with hot dogs. It also shows our aunties preparing food for our lunch fellowship in a bit. Then we prayed for the food. I had hot dog with rice and BBQ chicken. Wow, the Korean beef finishes fast! It was already afternoon and wow, it got sunny, yay! We then took a little walk on the pier, or dock. Boy it was a nice day now. While on the pier, we saw lots of birds suddenly feeding on the fish in the sea. It was a feeding frenzy! It also shows the famous 'cement ship'. People were fishing at the end of the pier as well. We saw someone got a huge fish, too big that the tail was out of the bucket! Too bad it's not on the video. There were also dolphins joining the feeding frenzy.

Then once back with the rest of the crew, they showed me the tiny crab-like creatures they caught on the beach. I don't know what those are called. Then it was already around 7pm. So we went down to the beach one last time. The full moon was rising up over the east. As we were at the beach, all of a sudden the tide was rolling in fast! We had fun with the incoming unusual large waves.

Then lastly, it shows a lovely sunset viewed from the pier of Seacliff State Beach. Hope you guys enjoy the video!

Hey, I've been there just a few days ago during that heat wave.  It was like what... 102 degrees here! Looking at that tide roll in just cools me down... Beautiful video! Glad you and your folks had a great/fun time there!

yea it was crazy hot, about 104 for us here last Wednesday!! Thankfully it's cooling down now, even with possible sprinkles over northern CA. Yup, this happens only once a year. I wish more of our church youth came though.

I love the beach!!! The sound of the waves crashing to the shore, while the sun sets in the west... Great Video!!!
