"Homicide: Life on the Street" was an American police drama that ran for seven seasons on NBC, from 1993-1999. In episode 6:09, 'Closet Cases', one of the detectives, Tim Bayliss (played by Kyle Secor) came out as bisexual.

This clip is taken from episode 6:20, 'Secrets', where Bayliss discusses his sexuality with a fellow detective Laura Ballard (Callie Thorne).

  • Did we ever meet the boyfriend in this series or see them together? Though I recall this plot line, I don't recall him ever actually being seen with a boyfriend on the show.

  • @inkyguy He was never seen with a long-term boyfriend on the show. There was a scene where a gay character played by Peter Gallagher asked him out to dinner and he said yes (see 'Homicide: Life on the Street- Closet Cases' uploaded by bgcv1234). And a few scenes where he tried to get a relationship with another cop off the ground, but it didn't end well (see my other videos, the Roger Fisk one).

Of course, some people might argue that was because his long-term boyfriend was really Pembleton ;)
