Kennedy and his gang of Democrats & Republicans tried to slide this bill through the Senate before the public to a chance to hear and think about it. Hey, everyone, this is ILLEGAL, law breaking immigration we are talking about here not the legal kind that this country has long embraced and should continue to emabrace.

He's the Man and has my vote. I would vote twice for him but I'm not mexican...

Think about it: instead to turning back immigrants who increase the risks of terrorism or ethnic balkanization of the country the government is letting them in but asks the FBI or the DHS to snoop on them in case they could be terrorists or it asks one of its branches to try to assimilate the others by teaching them the english language and so on. The costs are enormous and the benefits are almost non-existent.

The US would be a 1000x more secure if american troops weren't over there for whatever reasons (legitimate or not) and more importantly if foreigners from non-western cultures weren't in the country. None of us over there and none of them over here. However we have an establishment pushing for the contrary: more americans over there and more of them in america. This is clearly insane - unless it is deliberate. I tend to think that the latter is the only explanation that makes sense.
