Over 185 of Calderglen High's S1 pupils spent three days last week at Broomlee Outdoor Centre in West Linton in the Scottish Borders. The purpose of the trip was to develop Skills for the 21st Century -- in particular Teambuilding and Problem Solving. In addition, pupils were able, through a number of challenges, to build relationships, to take an increased responsibility for their learning and to make links with the same key skills in school.
The pupils were supported by Broomlee's instructors and a number of staff from the  Calderglen High community.
