After freezing the lake, the treasure will sit in front of the frozen waterfall.

Snow Country Ancient Lore VI:
After picking up the Goon Totem, walk to the lion head statue with it. From there, walk across the bridge without dropping the totem.
You can shake the trees while you're on your way, don't worry.

Snow Country Ancient Lore IX:
Shake every one of the trees while Jeeves is still around.

NOTE: Secret treasure can only be obtained after having beaten "Barbaros's Land - Final Battle"!
