First off, apologies for how late this is. I've been working, ill, and drunk—sometimes all at once.

Anyway, a while back I had a run in with Geerup on his VenomFangX channel. It was such fun, I thought I'd make a vid chronicling it for all to see.

It's an abridged tale; for the full thing check out http://www.youtube.com/comment_servlet?all_comments&v=dRux0g1XzzQ&fro... until he censors the rest of it up the wazoo. Which is traditionally where one censors things.

If you like it, please rate it; my ego needs fuel!

  • You should come up with your own presentation style.

  • @Craydon I agree with you; and for what it's worth, I'm trying.

  • Haha very punny.

    Operation Flashpoint, yay!

Umm, but, err, you're going to a low place in Hell reserved for serial motormouths who blaspheme, where you will be forced to take Rosetta Stone courses in how to speak Entish

  • @Elvisdogg Operation Flashpoint is, to this day, still one of my LAN party classics!

As for that particular circle of hell, I'll be in some very good company and my Entish has gotten very rusty of late ;)

  • Thank's for the head's-up on this vid, q'e. This' is' another bang'up job.

  • Oh, I see what you did there all right.

    Today I died a little inside. >:(]

  • Fucking awesome video. This is perhaps the best homage to Yahtzee's videos I've ever seen.

  • "COMPARITIVE GENETICS. IT'LL F*CK YOU UP!"

    ROFLMAO.

  • i fuckin love this shit

  • Ah, then his bit on DNA sounds like a metaphor for the fidelity of replication and translation to me (which, to be fair, is awesome but not perfect).

As for the nervous system, the digital side of things could pertain to individual nerve cells firing or not, and the analogue could refer to scaling from "oo that tingles" to "ZOMFG THE PAIN"

Dawkins does love his metaphors, but with scientific education and awareness as it is these days, we need every skyhook we can get :)

  • (3) Though in summary, it's most likely that it's a metaphorical thing as you said.

    Though he did take that metaphor and run with it for the whole of his book...-.- oh popular science literature, how you betray me D;
